The problem...

Having been a self-employed freelancer for pretty much all of my working life, I’m more than aware of the pressure that comes with keeping every area of a small business up-to-date and up-to-speed. Yes, work life was so much simpler before the internet came along, all we ever needed back then was a pen, a map, a car and a sandwich. Life was good, in a hazily nostalgic, less-is-more kind of way.

Now though, in order to achieve similar results we need a mobile phone, an iPad, a laptop, a data plan, a website, countless social media channels, a web designer, an SEO expert and a marketing department full of pretty young insta-things who only speak digital, with a gluten-free woke accent.

And we really do need it, and it needs to be done well. I don’t know of too many small independent business owners who, after an often stressful day at work doing real things, enjoy sitting down to update and maintain their websites, write engaging social media posts, do a bit of keyword research, reach out to influencers and so on and so on…

A solution...

So that’s where I come in. It’s my mission to help small local independents with not only getting the techy stuff done, but getting it done well. Specifically, I’m passionate about creating solid online foundations as a platform for future growth. I focus on getting the basics right and the fundamentals in place – all the dull and boring stuff that my clients, quite understandably, shove to the bottom of their to-do list, when it should really be at the top. Which is where they like their search results to be, of course.

I have a flexible approach to my work, whether it’s an ad-hoc tidy up of a website, or an ongoing regular commitment, my clients are free to take as much of my time as they need. Budgetary constraints are always at the forefront of small business owners minds of course, marketing departments can be prohibitively expensive. As such, services such as mine can be welcome relief to independents and start-ups alike. So if any of this resonates with you, then please feel free to get in touch if you’d like to chat about how I may be able to help with your online presence and commitments.
